Broken forest – the horizon

Our hero will be traveling along his quest into the horizon. The horizon is the initial exposure to the main kingdom's borders, where the main castle and inner city is within reach.

It is basically a vast, lush forest that protects the main domain of the kingdom from outside threats. It also has a few secrets and surprises for the uninitiated passerby. The forest is where the barbarians reside and cause havoc in the surrounding areas. What is not apparent at the time is the connection between the barbarians and the current overlord of the kingdom.

As far as the hero is concerned, he or she will need to be able to safely pass through the forest.

The horizon will have several unexpected surprises for the hero. The outcome of the quest will heavily rely on the way the player interacts with the surrounding environment, as well as with the non-player characters.

Now, our hero's objectives are as follows:

  • Objective(s):
    • Pass through the forest without getting killed
  • Outcome(s):
    • Hero can be captured by the barbarians
    • Hero could face other life-threatening scenarios and/or non-player characters
    • Hero successfully passes through the forest and is ready to take on the next challenge
    • Hero establishes new relationships to enhance his skills and abilities
