Abstract
He-Huang, one of the most typical geo-diversified areas in China, has been inhabited by multi-ethnic groups since the advent of human activity. By historical and anthropological approaches, this book places all of the He-Huang ethnic groups in a holistic cultural vision. The author systematically discusses the multiple identi-ties and cultural differences arising in the region, from the points of view of genera-tion of regional pluralization, diversity of social organization, process of ethnic inte-gration, formation of ecological and economic chains, borrowing of ethnic langua-ges, as well as regional religious structures, folk forms, internal interaction mech-anisms, etc. This book reflects the social and cultural features of the multi-ethnic region of He-Huang, and reveals their far-reaching impacts on the local ethnic groups.
